TUTORING

Who We Are

The Derry Center for Adult Studies tutoring program offers adults free, confidential, one-to-one instruction in reading, writing, math, English/ESL, and preparation for the high school equivalency exam (HiSET®). Volunteer tutors receive training and ongoing support as they work in partnership with their students to reach individual educational goals.

Individual Tutoring

The foundation of the program lies in one-to-one tutoring. Meetings with volunteer tutors are confidential and happen at a time and public place that is mutually convenient (Currently we follow COVID-19 protocol which restricts in-person interactions, therefore, we intend to conduct tutoring sessions virtually using Zoom).
